Google Update of Panda 4.0
Google has once again created an algorithm with a cute name and a voracious appetite for black hat practices. Panda 4.0 launched in May of 2014 and promptly tanked the rankings of some very well-known sites like eBay, Biography.com, and aceshowbiz.com. This new algorithm searches websites for things like duplicate content, automatically generated content, and spam. If it finds these things, it knocks the site’s rank to a level of humility.
As an SEO Consultant, I am constantly reading blogs and articles on new ways to increase site traffic. I am familiar with some of the spammy methods various companies use to trick the Search Engines. More and more evident is the fact that the more you try to trick the engines, the harder your rank will fall when you get caught.
Sometimes companies resort to spam practices when standard SEO methods don’t produce results quickly. In the fast-paced, ever-changing world of SEO, short-cuts and edgy practices are tempting to try but get sniffed out quickly by Google. As soon as someone thinks they have beat the search engine system, Google catches up with ferocious algorithms with cute names (Penguin and Panda) and knocks them out of the game.

Patience is not a word most think of when it comes to this industry. The online industry is all about instant results and endless competition, but patience is necessary.
